Bouquet Parfait rose

The Hybrid Musk Bouquet Parfait is a wonderful recent addition to my garden. Of the ten Hybrid Musks planted last year, Bouquet Parfait is in the top three for size, vigor and bloom production. It greeted me this spring with its trademark mini bouquets of ice cream colored roses, toning from cream through a range of sherbet pinks. Now that these first blooms are fading, new canes have appeared with clusters of tiny buds promising a lavish display to come.

After less than a year in the ground, the plant is showing a low, spreading form. It is currently approaching four feet wide and two feet tall. I suspect this is a mere hint of what's to come over the next couple of years - paths blocked by pastel roses and vase filling single stemmed bouquets.
