The Purple Tiger rose has a reputation for being a slow grower and my
experience with it bears that out, but with its astonishing and unique
color and patterning, it can be worth the wait. So it has been for me.
After three years in the ground - allowing that a year of that was
recovering from Pot Hell - it is now 2 feet tall, 2 1/2 feet wide and
loaded with small, nicely-shaped blooms. The color is a deep, rich
purple with white patterning that varies wildly. It's a small dynamo,
and a wild and lovely addition to my garden.
