I have a love-hate relationship with Katie's McNear HP. I love the size, shape and health of the bush.
I love the generous setting of buds. I hate the fact that the buds
almost never open properly. Instead they open a bit then turn into
dryish ugly globs. I keep waiting for maturity to fix this problem, but
it ain't happenin'. Sometimes in mid-summer I get a pretty bloom, but
never in spring. I can't imagine what it wants. And if nothing
changes, it is going to be out of here.
